The Home I Couldn’t Find

Packed my bags, left my past,
Chased new dreams, moving fast.
Bangalore’s buzz, Pune’s haze,
Thought I’d bloom in brand-new ways.

Searched for home on Church Road’s bends,
In Lonavala mist that swirled like friends.
Late-night chai, long drives alone,
Still, my heart felt like a phone on roam.

Built a life in rented flats,
Fairy lights and welcome mats.
But walls don’t talk, and doors don’t sing,
Home was never just a thing.

Then one day, back I came,
Kolkata whispered, still the same.
Howrah stood like time stood still,
Trams rolled past, slow but real.

Phuchka stalls near Victoria’s grace,
Hooghly winds in a warm embrace.
Maybe home was never lost,
Just a feeling I once tossed.

Not in a city, not in a key,
But in the way I carry me.
