A panel discussion on ‘World Press Freedom Day’ was also organized and the panelists and the Professors both actively participated in the discussion. It was highly critical, as the panelists discussed the current situation of the Indian Media and Press Freedom and no participant was barred from speaking their minds.
Free Speech, is something that the School Of Media and Communications hold very close to their hearts. In the words of the Legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore-
‘Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high
Where the knowledge is free………
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country
awake.’
