Congress President Sonia Gandhi is asked to appear at the ED office on 21st July 2022, regarding the ‘National Herald-ALJ’ case. Congress party leaders and workers have decided to protest by going together against the Modi- Shah duo and show their solidarity as they stand together with their chief on her way to the ED office.
Zubair is out of jail and also allowed to use Twitter

The Alt news co-founder Mohammed Zubair has been granted interim bail by the SC on all the FIRs that were registered against him. He has been released from Tihar Jail on 20th July 2022. According to the order of the Supreme Court, all FIRs against Zubair were to be transferred to Delhi from Uttar Pradesh. The SC further stated that they cannot stop him from making tweets as they cannot ask a journalist to stop writing.
The Indian Rupee hit an all-time low of Rs.80 per dollar

The Indian currency fell to its record low for the first time, 1 dollar = 80 rupees on Tuesday, 19th July 2022.
The main concern now is how much it will affect the economy of the country as the rupees are getting weaker. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the parliament on 18th July 2022 stated that factors that can be a reason behind the recent fall are ascending crude oil prices, the conflicts between Ukraine- Russia and the tightening of global financial conditions.
The Kallakuruchi student death case
On 19th July 2022, a student of class 12 of a private higher secondary school at Chinna Salen near Kallakuruchi in Tamil Nadu died by committing suicide in her suicide note, she stated that she was being molested by two teachers of her school. Her death led to massive protests by thousands of youths and villagers and it has become very violent as buses were set on fire, and stone was pelted. Looking at the situation Section 144 has been imposed and all private schools are shut down till July 31 in Kallakuruchi Taluk.
