The playback singer was declared dead at CMRI hospital, Kolkata at 10:30 on Tuesday night due to heart attack. SSKM hospital, after autopsy, confirmed the death to be natural.
Social media has been flooded with fans sharing shock over the beloved artist’s untimely death. Many hold the management at Nazrul Mancha and the authorities of the college responsible.
Videos have surfaced where KK is being rushed to his car after the show. Fans are speculating that he fell ill during the show only as he could be seen sweating on stage numerous times.
One of the audience members said, “KK was literally gasping for breath… pleading with the organizers to put on the ac as the venue was the closed auditorium. He was continuously sweating.”
She also confirms the massive crowd that gathered at Nazrul Mancha in South Kolkata. While the seating capacity of the closed auditorium stands at 2500, more than 5000 people had gate crashed yesterday. “Getting out of that auditorium was actually painful” she added.
The authorities of Nazrul Mancha have denied turning off the air conditioners. One of the staff members stated,” All the ACs were on but they were not enough to cool such an overcrowded room. Moreover, out of the seven gates, five were kept open, failing to trap the cool air.”
While the authorities play the blame game, celebrities and fans have taken to the internet to pay their respect and love to the legendary vocalist.
It seems so ominous. The news of KK’s death that too right after a live performance is terrible. He sang for films I was associated with, so his loss seems that much more personal.
