1. PM Modi inaugurate Netaji's Hologram Statue
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the hologram statue of freedom fighter Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at India Gate today. The hologram statue at India gate until a granite statue installed at the same spot is complete. He inaugurated this on January 23, 2022, to honour Bose on his 125th birthday.
PM Modi said, "It is unfortunate that after Independence, along with the culture and rites of the country, work was done to erase the contribution of many great personalities."
The 28 feet-by-6 feet hologram statue is powered by a 30,000 lumens 4K projector. The light is thrown on a high-grain, 90 per cent transparent holographic screen that is not visible to visitors.
The granite statue will be brought from Telangana and sculpted by Adwaita Gadanayak who is the director-general of the National Gallery of Modern Art.
2. SUPREME COURT: Daughters to Inherit fathers' self-acquired and properties
Supreme Court on Thursday in a significant verdict said that the property of a man who had died without executing the will the daughter get preference over the properties of the father. The judgment, which came on an appeal against the Madras High Court verdict, dealt with the property rights of Hindu women and widows under the Hindu Succession Act.
Justice Murari, writing the 51-page judgment for the bench, also dealt with the question of whether such property will devolve on to the daughter upon the death of her father, who died without a will, by inheritance or shall devolve on to "father's brother's son by survivorship"
Supreme Court was dealing with the legal issues regarding the right of the daughter to inherit the self-acquired property of her father, in the absence of any other legal heir.
3. 35 Pakistan based YouTube Channel is Banned in India
The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting ordered on Friday to block 35 Pak-based Youtube channels and two Twitter accounts, two Websites and a Facebook account. The common factor amongst all these accounts has been that they operate from Pakistan and spread anti-India news.
"We have used the provision of section 69 A of the IT Act to block these channels under the emergency provisions as their contents were totally toxic and against the sovereignty of India, sort of a war of misinformation against the country (India)," Information and Broadcasting (I&B) Secretary Apurva Chandra told on Friday.
The 35 YouTube channels had a total of 1.20k subscribers based and 130k views. They were also found to be acting in synchronization to spread fake news to the Indian audience.
4. Maharashtra Government to give airfare for poor students for going abroad

Students will be able to get funding for their airfare who received admission confirmation in foreign universities. Under The Maharashtra Government Scholarship, the students can apply for funding through their college.
The selected students for this scholarship have to travel using their own funds and after reaching the University, they had to present their air ticket and boarding pass and then get the reimbursement.
A government notification (GR) issued by the higher and technical education department on Wednesday said that the students whose family income is less than six lakhs per annum are going to be eligible for the Rajashree Shahu scholarship for foreign education.
