Bengal under threat of another cyclone: Jawad



Cyclone Jawad is ready to hit the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on December 4 morning, south Bengal including Kolkata will receive heavy rainfall and it will continue till December 6. According to weatherman Sujib Kar wind speed will be more than 50-60Kmph, level of Ganges will also rise because of which it is possible for waterlogging across the city.

The government has issued a warning to the farmers to bind the Paddy's and stop fishermen from venturing into the sea.


Family hacked to death allegedly


On Thursday in a shocking incident, four members of a family were hacked to death by one of their relatives at Nandabaazar in Singur in Hooghly district. Locals said Dinesh Patel, 50, his wife Anusua, 45, his father Mavji, 80, and son Vabik, 23 were found in a pool of blood, with the help of police locals sent four to the hospital, Dinesh and his wife were declared dead and later other two in very critical condition lost their life too. Jogesh Dhawan, a close relative who came to their house in the morning is missing after the incident; police are still searching for him.

It is believed that the murder is committed by someone who was close to the family for money and property.


Adani to extend business with BBBS


On Thursday in Nabanna Mamata Banerjee held a closed-door meeting with industrialist Gautam Adani, he expressed interest in attending Biswa Bangla Business Summit (BBBS) scheduled on April 10-11 next year. According to sources, Adani extend his business by investing in certain sectors in the state and also agreed to attend the business summit.

Such meetings will help to bring industrialization in the state as well. After meeting taking to Twitter, Adani said, “Delighted to meet @MamtaOfficial, Hon’ble Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Discussed different investment scenarios and the tremendous potential of west Bengal, I look forward to attending the Bengal Global Business Summit in April 2022”


West Bengal board test from December 13 to 24


On Wednesday West Bengal board of secondary education announced a test to be held for class 10th between December 13 and 24, this exam is going to be in offline mode, many schools already started offline exams for class 10th and 12th but some of the schools are facing issues as schools are taken over for KMC election which is going to be on December 19. 

The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education issued a clarification, for HS pre-board exams about subjects, like music, visual art and automobile, where total theory marks cannot add up to 50. St. Lawrence High school started its offline test already and is supposed to bring the class 12th test schedule by December 8.


Excavation results in road-blocking

Some parts of Camac Street will remain shut for over a week as engineers are working on waterlogging woes, AJC Bose road and Camac Street have already been dug up for the repair work, the vehicles headed to AJC Bose road will be diverted to Balong Victoria Terrace and Gorky terrace. In order to facilitate groundwork police come up with the traffic diversion plan for the next 10 days which will facilitate the sewer line. This repairing started when engineers realized that a part of the road surface at the inner section of Camac Street and AJC bose road had caved in.
