“Two India” - Simple Monologue, Now Huge Controversy 


Vir Das an Indian comedian and actor during a performance in Kenny Centre in Washington DC on 12th November 19, describing two sides of the country stated some words which later found as defamation of country and government by BJP functionary and a lawyer who filed complaints with police against the actor. The monologue titled as “Two India” a six-minute clip is already been seen by more than 1.6 million people on you tube. Delhi BJP spokesperson Aditya Jha and Mumbai lawyer Ashutosh J. Dubey filed a complaint in both cities claiming Das’s monologue was derogatory to women. Later congress leader Shashi Tharoor and Kapil Sibal come in support of actor through their twitter handle. 


PM Modi repealed the three controversial farm laws 


After more than a year the farmer’s protest now come to an end as on Friday morning. Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his address to the nation announced about repeal the contentious three farm laws which was enacted on September 17,2020. Three laws are the Farmers’ Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act, 2020; Essential Commodities (Amendment) Act, 2020; and Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement on Price Assurance and Farm Services Act, 2020. As soon Prime Minister announced people rush to their social media accounts, some was saying it’s a political move other says it’s a masterstroke. 


Kartarpur Corridor opened on Wednesday, shut due to Covid 


Kartarpur border is now open for the pilgrimage which was shut down in march 2020 due to a covid outbreak just after 4months of its inauguration. Ahead of Gurupurb, the birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev was celebrated on 19th November central government taken this decision in order to allow devotees through the corridor, leading to the Kartarpur sahib in Pakistan. BJP MPs had on Sunday met to Narendra Modi to request the reopening of the Kartarpur sahib corridor along with that Pakistan government also urged for same. 


Vaccine exports resumes to four countries 


India resumes its vaccine exports to Myanmar, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Iran after a halt of eight months due to surged cases of COVID-19 also 1st dose of Covaxin and Covishield to land in African countries by this week said Adar Poonawala, chief of serum institute of India. 1st 50 million doses of Covaxin are also all set to make it way to Indonesia this week. As we can see the supply of vaccines to the other countries is now begin its very clear now that India doesn’t have any vaccine constraint. 


Earthquake in Rajasthan’s Jalore 


On the Richter scale magnitude of 4.6 Earthquake hit Jalore district of Rajasthan which is basically southwest of Jodhpur around 2:26am IST. No causalities are reported so far. Earlier on Thursday as well tremors were felt in Jodhpur around 3:30am IST. Also in the early afternoon of Saturday around 1:12pm in Assam and Guwahati tremors of the earthquake had felt by people, epicentre is supposed to be in Guwahati with magnitude on Richter scale 4.1.
