Bhupendra Patel, the first time MLA from Gujarat was appointed as the new Chief Minister of the western state after it’s former CM, Vijay Rupani resigned a few days prior. The name of the Ghatlodia constituency MLA was proposed by Rupani himself during resignation and was unanimously accepted by the core committee of the party. Patel, a trustee of the Patidar Community of Gujrat, can influence the upcoming assembly polls next year.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) raided Sonu Sood’s properties with the allegations of tax evasion on September 16th. In total 28 of Sonu Sood’s properties were evaded including his foundation, associates and real – estate group. CBDT informed that they found evidence showing professional receipts showcased as loans in accounts in order to evade taxes. There might have been a tax evasion of over 20 crores.

After a history of 153 years, Tata Sons are going to appoint a Chief Executive Officer to further manage the business giant in the upcoming years. The decision came shortly after SEBI suggested the top 500 companies of the country to appoint a CEO. With Ratan Tata’s stamp of approval, it was decided while the CEO managed the company, the Chairman will watch over him on behalf of the shareholders.

On Thursday, Virat Kohli took to the social media to share a letter signed by him, officially announcing his stepping down as the Captain of the Indian Cricket Team from T20 cricket. It was reported by BCCI that the decision was Kohli’s to give himself time and focus on his batting. In the letter, Kohli thanked his fans and his supporters and promised to serve the team with the same zeal as a batsman as he did during his captaincy.

Bombay Stock Exchange crossed the 59000 milestone for the first time, closing at 59141 with a one day rise of 418 points. India currently holds the sixth largest market capitalisation after beating France in the rally this Friday. India’s market cap is somewhere close to $ 3.5 trillion while France was $ 3.4 trillion.
