The CBI as a part of its investigation into the post-poll violence cases in Bengal detained six-person on Monday. All these people were involved in several criminal offences. The CBI visited the Domjur area in Howrah and detained all six of them.

Leader of opposition in Bengal, Legislative assembly, and BJP party leader Suvendu Adhikari was questioned in the probe of his bodyguard's death. Suvendu Adhikari has been given interim relief from the Calcutta HC. He didn't appear in front of the CID in his bodyguard's death case. "The Calcutta HC has stayed the fresh probe initiated by the CID", says Adhikari's lawyer.

The organizers of a Nazrul park Unnayan Samity in the Baguihati area in Eastern Kolkata have decided to showcase a fibreglass idol of Bengal's CM Mamata Banerjee which will be the centre of attraction for the pandal visitors.
An idol of CM Banerjee with ten limbs like the Durga goddess herself will be installed and showcased in the Pandal.

CID seized four pieces of ash-coloured stones weighing about 250.5 gm each. The radioactive elements were found engraved in the stone. The element was found to be Californium worth Rs 4,250 crore, two people are arrested in the case are the residents of Hooghly district.
