A spokesperson of Afghanistan's National Resistance Front (NRF) Fatim Dashti was killed by the Taliban during the ongoing fighting in Panjshir. Dashti was a senior member of the Jamiat-e-Islami party and a member of the Federation of Afghan journalists. Dashti was an active enthusiast from the resistance front, he kept updating on the situation of Panjshir. On Sunday he wrote on his Twitter account that the Taliban are driven out of Panjshir but he was killed the next day. Taliban took control of the Panjshir province in Afghanistan and said "Anyone creating trouble will be dealt the Panjshir way."

Universities in Afghanistan resumes after the hardline Islamist group or the Taliban took control of the country. Women are still under strict restrictions; they can attend the classes from behind a veil between the male and female students. Taliban has promised a more moderate government considering human rights. Restrictions on clothes, time limits of the classes, and female teachers for female students are imposed on the women in Afghanistan.

ISI Chief Lt Faiz Hameed met with the Mullah Baradar confirms the Taliban spokesperson Mujahid. This was an unknown visit though; the Pakistani media had tried to ask Hameed about his visit to Afghanistan but he did not say much on it. The Taliban on Monday confirmed that Hameed met Mullah Baradar, amidst the situation where the group is trying to form a government. In an official statement, Mujahid said that the meeting was about the security concern at the border areas.

New Zealand's Auckland city witnessed a horrifying knife attack last week in Auckland Supermarket. The attacker had a full-proof plan, he was in proper armour with a bulletproof jacket. He harmed seven people in the attack. There were counter firings from the end of New Zealand Police until they shot him dead. The attacker was found out to be a 32-year-old man Ahmed Aathil Mohammed Samsudeen of the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group.
