On the arrival of India's 75th year of Independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made big announcements during his address to the nation for the eighth time in a row.
In his 90-minute speech from the rostrum of Red Fort in New Delhi, PM Modi gave the slogan of "Sabka Saath – Sabka Vikas – Sabka Vishwas -Sabka Prayas." He also congratulated the Indian athletes and paid tribute to the frontline Covid-19 workers in the open-ended battle against the pandemic.

Nutritional Goal by 2024
PM Modi announced the fortification of the rice supplied using the PDS (Public Distribution System) and other government schemes to ensure nutritious food for needy children.
This move will fortify ration shop, rice available in mid-day meal, rice available through every scheme by 2024. It will help to improve education, health and employment.
E-commercialization for rural woman entrepreneurs
The government will build e-commerce platforms for rural women associated with Self Help Groups for selling products. It will help eight crores, women, in villages to get a market nationally and internationally.
Gati Shakti Yojana
To make the Indian economy 'Atmanirbhar', the PM announced an Rs-100 lakh National Master Plan called the Gati Shakti Yojana. The 'Gati Shakti Yojana' breaks the barriers within the economy; it aims to help local entrepreneurs turn globally competing and develop opportunities for new future economic zones.
75 Vande Bharat trains in 75 weeks
PM Modi announced, 75 Vande Bharat trains are ready to connect every corner of the country in the 75 weeks of Amrit Mahotsav of Independence.
Sainik School
To assure that girls get equal opportunities as boys, the PM announced that girl cadets can now take admissions in Sainik Schools from the academic session 2021-22.
National Hydrogen Mission
India unveils its biggest mission in the decade, 'National Hydrogen Mission', to become the largest exporter of Green Hydrogen in the coming days. This initiative is to make India energy independent, self-reliant in clean energy and create new generation employments.
