Forbes announced this Wednesday that Rihanna is officially a billionaire now with a net worth of 1.7 million. Rihanna is a singer turned beauty and fashion mogul. She is also having a very successful venture for the past four years called "Fenty-Beauty" it is her beauty line that has contributed to making her the wealthiest female musician in the world. Rihanna's stardom and fan loyalty have made the brand do wonders for her.

Scarlet Johansson the star of the Marvel movie' Black widow' filed a lawsuit in the Los Angeles superior court against Disney for streaming Black widow parallel to its theatrical release. She is allegedly saying that her contract is breached and Disney has to pay compensation for it. According to scarlet Disney was supposed to release Black Widow after it is off the theatres but now is under financial fallout with Disney.

Laura Kenny becomes the first British woman to win a gold medal at three Olympic Games after she and Katie Archibald took the win in the first-ever women's Madison at the Izu Velodrome. Kenny is now the most renowned female cyclist in Olympic history. She is also Great Britain's most adorned athlete with five gold medals and overall, six Olympic medals to her credit. The Madison win was her first gold medal since she has become a mother. She while talking to BBC News said: "I did not expect any medal since the time I have become a mother but winning this one feel like I am relieved".

Pakistan's Supreme Court on Friday questions the authorities for not being able to stop the attack on the Hindu temple. Hundreds of people carrying sticks and bricks attacked the temple in the remote area of Punjab province of Pakistan. The temple was demolished and people were threatened CJ Gulzar Ahmed said "what would have been the reaction of Muslims if a mosque would have demolished". Pakistan SC also says that such kind of radical behaviour has tarnished the image of the country globally.

On Thursday and Friday, it was 94.5 degrees in Tokyo making it the hottest temperatures in Olympics. Till date, the hottest ever recorded were in Athens 2004 (93.6 degrees) and Rio 2016 (92 degrees). Australian kayaker Jo Brigdenjones prepared herself for the heat conditions in Japan by biking in a heat chamber and sitting in a hot spa. But, the weather is still taking a toll on her and other athletes because of the excruciating heat index. The Australian Institute of sports launched a Tokyo heat project to help their athletes prepare for the conditions in Japan but it's still exorbitant.

Wildfires in Greece raged into the night burning more forests and homes in the northern outskirts of Athens and other parts of the country. Widespread fire in Evia Island forced hundreds of people to evacuate by boat. Forests were devastated, hundreds of animals were killed. Authorities are finding it difficult to deal with the sudden upsurge of wildfire at more than 154 sites. Some parts of the country are still burning in northern Athens, the island of Evia, and areas in the Peloponnese including Mani and ancient Olympia.
