A study by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has found that mixing the doses of Covaxin and Covishield produced a better immune response. It had also proved the mixing of two vaccines is also safe. The study is the first scientific evidence from India on superior immunogenicity profile demonstrated in mixed-vaccine doses.

Violent miscreants bombed a lower primary school, Paka Punjee School. The unfortunate event came just hours after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced to the State Assembly that Mizoram had consented to the “1932 boundary”. The Paka Punjee school was the fourth Assam-run school bombed on the border since October 2020.

Hindu outfit Kranti Sena conducted an “awareness drive” in the markets of Muzaffarnagar and urged to stop Muslim men applying Mehendi at the hands of Hindu women as they indulge in Love Jihad. They also warned shopkeepers to not employ Muslims for giving haircuts. The outfit’s general secretary, Manoj Saini, said, On the guise of these odd jobs, Muslim youths lure Hindu girls and trap them in love jihad.”

India ranked at 122nd spot in the 2020 Global Youth Development Index (GYDI). The report had prepared by the Commonwealth Secretariat Youth Division index. It provides a ranking of youth development in 181 based on various parameters. Singapore topped for the first time, followed by Slovenia. Afghanistan, India, Russia, Ethiopia and Burkina Faso were the top five improvers, improving their score on an average by 15.74 per cent.
