Neeraj Chopra is an Indian Javelin thrower and junior commissioned officer in the Indian Army. Neeraj becomes the first athlete from India to bag the gold medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020.
India has been winning silver and bronze medals in different categories in the Olympics. The whole nation was waiting for gold and Neeraj made the whole nation proud. The 23-year-old fellow went through elbow surgery in 2019 and with utmost dedication, determination, and hard work he came back on the field. Inspired many people and made the whole country cheer his name.

The Indian men's hockey team created history on Thursday 5th August as they brought home Olympics bronze medal after a span of 41 years. The team was led by Manpreet Singh, who defeated Germany at the Tokyo Olympics.
It was a neck-to-neck fight, the drama was intense but what a spectacular comeback by the men in blue. People praised the city of Jalandhar in Punjab for giving so many players to the Indian men's hockey team. All praises and overwhelming greetings from the entire nation to the men's hockey team.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday announced via Twitter that many citizens were requesting to rename the Khel Ratna Awards to Major Dhyanchand Khel Ratna Award for the pride and honour legendary hockey player Dhyanchand brought for India.
Khel Ratna Award is the highest prestigious award given to any sportsperson will now be known as "Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award from now respecting the sentiments and views of the citizen of India" says PM Narendra Modi.
India-China disengagement process in Gogra eastern Ladakh completed: Indian Army

The disengagement process was carried out in line with the outcome of the 12th round of military talks that took place on 31st July. After nearly 15 months of the face-off, Indian and Chinese armies have completed the disengagement and they have withdrawn their troops from the Gogra point in the eastern Ladakh.
Announcing the development, the Indian Army said that the process was carried out on 5th and 6th August, and all the allied and temporary infrastructure has been dismantled and verified subsequently from both sides.

Indian government sticks on not giving any official statement on Pegasus Issue. Whereas, on the other hand, the name on the list of the Pegasus spyware including journalists, politicians, government officials, army men, and more just keeps on adding every day.
As centre refuses to relent to any kind of probe or discussion on the matter. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has called a meeting with the opposition MPs to finalize a strategy on the spyware issues.
Removal of article 370 has done little benefits to the people of J&K, says, experts
It’s been two years that on August 5, 2019, PM, Modi removed Article 370 (A) from the constitution which gave Jammu and Kashmir special rights. Union government promised to provide rights to the people of Jammu and Kashmir from which they were forbidden before.
As per The Wire's report, people of J&K are in a better place because they are given their basic rights but they still feel that they need a local power to look after them. It's not possible for the Union government to govern sitting back at Delhi.
TMC’s youth leaders were attacked in the Dhalai district of Tripura Assam
The incident took place on Saturday at the Assam- Tripura state highway. The youth leaders and workers were allegedly attacked with stones and bricks. This incident took place when two TMC delegates visited Assam to attend a program.
Several workers were injured and if reports are to be believed even the vehicles were vandalised. After this incident MP Abhishek Banerjee accused BJP of 'barbarism.'
